St Oswald’s, located on Church Street between the DSU and the Science Site, is perfectly placed in the centre of Durham University life.
The Student Group runs every Sunday evening during term time at 7:10 pm, and we meet for tea and snacks with a spot of Bible study (and try not to go too off-piste!). We’re also known to congregate in the pub afterwards most weeks. Students also regularly contribute to wider church life by singing in the choir, bell-ringing, being involved with ministry and services, and much more.
If you’re a new student this year, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re really excited to welcome this year’s freshers and returners, and from 2017 we’re also pleased to be involved with Durham Joint Anglican and Methodist Society (JAMSoc). Look out for their stall at Freshers’ Fair and take a look at our Facebook posts for details of what we’re up to this term.
